Discarding Earth (2021) Landscape Documentary
Over a several days I spent time recording scenery of places I had seen in Buffalo which caught my eye. These non-sites montaged and composited show structures without human history attached. Materials coming out and returning to the earth. Buildings in-progress of erection and urban decay in process. All of the images reveal a moment in which the landscape continually changes without certain meaning and causes not all known. Both the land and ideas are discarded since their total narrative can never be stated, felt, or measured when considered through a lens of “Deep Time.”
