From 2016-2017 I developed an interest in macro photographing insects. Shot in my apartment I documented a dead fly I smooshed with a 60mm EF lens. Depending on the variable focus and aperture some physical objects can be undetected. In this case it is the tiny, the alien, the dead, the texture which can be in frame of a camera or in plain sight of an eye but lack identity until an object attains saliency and is gazed at.
